Early on in my tenure at Uponor, I learned a new business concept called “Added Value.  Added Value of measuring the value of converting raw materials sold in the open market. The purpose of this measurement was to derive what additional value was achieved when transforming “raw materials” into “finished goods”. In order to “sell” these raw materials as “finished goods”, the raw materials need to be converted through a process where some effort (energy) is employed to produce something that has additional value that that can be used for a “purpose”.

Take this concept and apply it to your human and spiritual development. Where did your raw materials come from and through whose effort are those raw materials most effectively transformed into their intended purpose?
